Join us to unleash your dog’s inner detective and enjoy a rewarding, real-world challenge!

Group classes for Canine Trailing

Sniff. Search. Succeed.
Welcome to Canine Trailing (also known as Mantrailing) — an exciting and fast-growing dog sport where you and your pup become a real-life search team! Your dog puts their powerful nose to work following the unique scent of one specific person, while you sharpen your observation skills and learn to read their every move. It’s teamwork at its best.

Unlike traditional tracking, we don’t keep noses glued to the ground — dogs learn to follow scent trails using a mix of ground scent, scent particles in the air, and wind currents to locate the hidden runner.

🐕 Always on-leash, Canine Trailing can be practiced just about anywhere — even in busy urban environments.
🌧️ Our group classes run for 4 consecutive weeks, outdoors, rain or shine!
🧠 Bonus: Trailing can also help build your dog’s confidence and resilience. We can even tailor sessions to include everyday triggers like other dogs or strangers as part of the training.

Get ready to discover the detective hiding in your dog — and have a blast doing it!

🎯 Tips and techniques to spark and maintain your dog’s drive to find the runner
🏃‍♂️ At least three guided runs to get your dog started on the trail
📅 Guidance on how to organize your own practice sessions to help your dog really grasp the goal — including how to fade their line of sight to the runner

Please note: While waiting for your turn, your dog should be comfortable staying calmly in your vehicle.
Reactive dogs are always welcome!

Canine Trailing Guided Practice

Take your Canine Trailing skills to the next level with our Guided Practice sessions!

Designed for teams who’ve already taken a group class or workshop, these sessions focus on sharpening the skills you’ve built so far. Each run is customized to match your current level, setting your team up for success and confidence every time.

Less experienced teams get 2-3 runs to build momentum, while seasoned teams usually take 1-2 runs, depending on complexity and energy levels. We use the Mantrailing app to track your runner’s path and measure your team’s accuracy, giving you clear insights into your progress.

After each run, receive personalized feedback with actionable tips to improve your practice at home. Though we provide approximate start times, some teams move faster than others—thanks in advance for your patience and preparedness as you wait your turn!

And as always, reactive dogs are warmly welcomed.

It’s a fantastic way to kick off your day, with your dog happily engaged and ready for a calm, contented rest afterward!
