Obedience & Impulse Control

Group Class: Obedience & Impulse Control

Does your dog know “sit” ? Great! Does your dog know “sit” when a squirrel exists within a 500-metre radius? That’s a different story. If your walks feel like negotiating with a very enthusiastic, four-legged toddler who has strong opinions about everything they see, smell, and breathe — this class is for you. We turn selective hearing, leash-pulling chaos, and “leave it… LEAVE IT… I SAID LEAVE IT” into an actual, reliable partnership. Because a dog who only listens in your living room is just a very expensive couch companion.

You’ve put in the work. You’ve practiced at home. And yet the second you hit the sidewalk, it’s like your dog has never heard the word “sit” in their life. You’re not alone — and it’s not your fault. Most dogs can behave beautifully in a quiet living room. The real world is a different story.

That’s exactly why we created our Obedience & Self-Control Group Class.

This isn’t about drilling commands in a vacuum. It’s about building a dog who actually listens when it counts — on a busy street, at the park, when another dog walks by, when a squirrel makes a very poor life decision. Real obedience means real-world results, and that’s what we deliver.

Why Group Classes Work Training in a group isn’t just more affordable — it’s more effective. Your dog learns to listen to you even when other dogs are around, when there’s movement and noise, when the environment is unpredictable. That’s the whole point. Controlled exposure to real-life distractions, with expert guidance every step of the way.

You’ll leave each session with clear takeaways, practical exercises to reinforce at home, and the support of a community of owners working toward the same goal.

This class is for you if:

  • Your dog ignores commands the moment something interesting happens
  • Walks feel more like a workout in frustration than an enjoyable outing
  • You want a dog you can trust in public, not just at home

Your dog isn’t broken. They just haven’t had the right practice yet. Let’s change that — together.

”Riannon is so great! She really takes the time to explain things but also to listen. I always feel well-informed and well-advised. I also appreciate her knowledge of dog breeds. The fit between the trainer and the dog is important, but I find that the fit between the trainer and the pet parent is even more so. Having consulted different trainers, she is truly my favourite. Pogo loves her too ❤️”
